Cao Bang City - Ma Phuc Pass – Phia Thap Incense Village – Paper Factory Village - Ban Gioc Waterfall - Nguom Ngao Cave – Ngoc Con Panorama – Angel Eye Moutain – Cao Bang City

7:00 AM: Our driver picks you up from your place or meet them at Com Na Can Homestay (3/10 Str. Na Can) in Cao Bang City. Get ready for an epic Cao Bang Loop adventure! The road leads you to Ma Phuc Pass. Along the way, you will see the beautiful rural villages, limestone mountain range. We visit Dia Tren Paper Factory Village – a local village to see the daily life of the Nung An ethnic group, practicing the craft of traditional papermaking. Then visit the Phia Thap Village – a famous village where the local people make incense sticks and cones.

Hold onto your breath – we’re off to Ban Gioc Waterfall! We can see the view with beautiful and spectacular of the landscape of Ban Gioc Waterfall – they’re even more impressive up close. Hop on a sampan boat for a front-row seat to nature’s show.

Nguom Ngao Cave Exploration, we will explore this underground wonderland spread over 3 mountains, keep an eye out for stalactites and stalagmites that look like animals. Warning: Your jaw may drop at the cave’s beauty!

12:00 PM: Lunch Break, refuel with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, try some authentic Cao Bang dishes

Angel Eyes Mountain easy hike or kayak (Seasonal), drive to the base of Angel Eyes Mountain, embark on an easy hike or kayak to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside

On the way return to Cao Bang City, wave goodbye to the stunning landscapes of Cao Bang.

5:00PM: Arrive Cao Bang city, drop you off at your hotel.

What’s the food like along the loop?

Expect simple, hearty home cooking by our local cooks. If you have any dietary restrictions, please discuss this at the time of booking.

Where do I meet the trip?

From Hanoi: We pick you up from your place in the Old Quarter.

From Cao Bang City: We pick you up from your place in Cao Bang City.

What should I pack for the trip?

Warm clothing for the cooler months (especially Oct–Feb). Some cash, passport, power bank, camera, swimsuit, long clothes (for pagoda or historical site visit), sunscreen and insect repellent.

What's excluded?

Drinks, travel insurance, and personal expenses. Transfer (Extra 15 USD per way): Ha Noi (Ninh Binh, Ha Giang or Catba Island) – Cao Bang (Sleeper bus & Limousine)

How much luggage can I take?

Just bring what you need for full day only. Due to limited vehicle space and the nature of accommodation, we ask that you limit yourself to a maximum of 10 kilograms in a backpack or an overnight bag.

Do I need a permit to visit border areas?

No special permit is required for most travelers, but it’s wise to carry your passport in case of random checks by border police.

Can I ride a motorbike on the loop?

Yes, you can but please note that for the self-driving option, you will need to have an International Driving License (IDL). The IDLs need to meet the following requirements:

Make sure your physical IDL is current and valid for the duration of your trip. The IDL must be issued under the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic and should have a stamp in the A and A1 box (for motorbike). Please bring along your national driving license that matches the same category level as your IDL.

That said, we highly recommend choosing the “Easy Rider” option for a more relaxed experience. This gives you the chance to enjoy the tour without the stress of driving or swap with the easy rider on the way.
