When is the best time to visit Cao Bang?
The Cao Bang Loop is beautiful all year round, each season offering its own charm. Though the best times to visit are from September to November and March to May, when the weather is mild, the skies are clear, and the landscapes are at their most vibrant.
In autumn (Sept – Nov), you might witness golden rice fields and Ban Gioc Waterfall in full flow and that’s perfect for photographers and nature lovers. Spring (Mar – May) brings fresh greenery, blooming flowers, and comfortable riding temperatures.
Even in the warmer or cooler months, the loop remains a stunning and peaceful escape, with far fewer crowds than other northern routes.
